Why Water?

We cannot live without water. It is the most important necessity element in our lives. Most villages do not have clean drinking water or in some cases, access to any water at all.

When water can be obtained it is typically from a river, well, or rain run-off source. These sources typically contain many illness boring parasites that can cause severe illness, sometimes to the point of death. Unclean water is linked to diseasese such as cholera, diarrhea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid, and polio.

A lack of water or clean water has devestating effects on entire communities. The Living Water program is designed to create long-term, sustainable water solutions.

The Program

By partnering with local water purification plants, the living water program provides clean, purified, bottled water to homes in underserved villages. This water is produced using a reverse osmosis process that removes a large amount of impurities.

Every 4 members of a household receives (2) 5-gallon bottles of water per week as well as a water dispenser base and 3 educational classes to explain the benefits of clean water as well as how to utlitize it for maximum health benefits.

The Cost

Most of us don’t think twice about turning on the tap and having clean water. Imagine not having that luxury!

To provide 4 family members with fresh, clean water daily costs just $30 a month. This, on average, will provide each person 2 glasses of drinking water per day. That breaks down to a mere .25 per person per day.
