Shalom

Shalom is located adjacent to a large trash dump site. There is limited supply of water, and no drinking water available. The community desperately needs a drinking water solution. Our mission is to provide pure drinking water daily as well as working with the community on the long term plan to develop a purification system locally, providing not only vital water but long-term economic development.

The people of Shalom live in extreme poverty. Most houses are built from materials found in the local trash dump. While the conditions are poor, there is a strong sense of community.

There are weekly church services led by Pastor Jose which began with the childrens program. This has grown to attendance in excess of 75 children. They eagerly learn the Word through scripture, lessons, and song taught by local voluteers.

As well as the Living Water program, Feeding Faith is committed to supporting Pastor Jose and the community of Shalom to evangelize to those who have no yet heard the Gospel.
